#002: clapham, SW11.

The Northcote Pub in Clapham, one of the area’s many bustling pubs on a busy road that becomes pedestrianised during the summer.

A favourite of London’s recent graduates, Clapham’s lively residential streets and sprawling common can make anyone feel at home.

Best place to get coffee:

“Il Molino on Lavender Hill for incredibly strong coffee and the best sausage rolls you’ll ever taste. There are so many new cafés popping up though — Overunder is another great spot for takeaway lattes.”

Ross’s favourite place in town:

“No. 32 the Old Town off Clapham Common never disappoints; head up to the roof for brunch or drinks in the summer, or sit inside for a Sunday roast. Somehow this place always has a great atmosphere, so I love bringing people here.”

Clapham’s best hidden gem:

“Maharani is the curry house towards Clapham North that my Dad went to when he moved to Clapham in his 20s, and now it’s my favourite spot whenever I need a good Indian fix. Plus, you can always count on getting a table there without worrying about making reservations ages in advance!”
